Waters Edge Mercantile – Refund & Return Policy

Thank you for shopping with Waters Edge Mercantile. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Because many of our products are dropshipped from trusted third-party suppliers, some return procedures and eligibility requirements may differ by item. This policy explains how refunds, returns, and exchanges are handled for all orders placed through our store.
1. General Return Eligibility
To qualify for a return or refund, the following conditions must be met:
The request is made within 30 days of delivery.
The item is unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging (unless defective or damaged on arrival).
The product is eligible under the specific supplier’s return rules.
We reserve the right to deny returns that do not meet these requirements.
2. Dropshipped Item Considerations
Because many of our products ship directly from third-party suppliers:
Items may need to be returned to the supplier’s warehouse, not to Waters Edge Mercantile.
Return shipping instructions vary by supplier and will be provided after your request is approved.
Some suppliers may charge restocking fees.
Certain items may be non-returnable, depending on supplier policies.
We will always communicate the appropriate return address and instructions once your claim is reviewed.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are typically not eligible for return unless defective:
Personalized or custom-made items
Clearance or final sale products
Perishable or consumable goods
Used items or items not in original condition
Items marked as “non-returnable” on the product page
Certain pet supplies for hygienic reasons
Items restricted by specific supplier policies

4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will replace the item or issue a full refund at no cost to you.
Please notify us within 7 days of delivery and include:
Order number
Detailed description of the issue
Clear photos or videos of the damage/defect
Photos of packaging (when applicable)
This information helps us file claims with suppliers or carriers.
5. Return Shipping Costs
If the return is due to our error (wrong item, damaged, defective), we cover all return shipping costs.
If the return is due to buyer’s remorse (e.g., changed mind, incorrect purchase), the customer is responsible for return shipping fees unless otherwise stated by the supplier.
Shipping charges paid at checkout are non-refundable.
6. Refunds
Once your returned item is received and inspected by either us or the supplier:
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your financial institution.
If the item is returned in unacceptable condition, we may deny the refund or issue a partial refund.
7. Order Cancellations
You may request an order cancellation within 12 hours of purchase if the order has not yet been processed or shipped.
Once a dropship supplier has begun fulfillment, the order cannot be canceled.
If an order has already shipped, it may only be refunded through the standard return process.
8. Lost or Stolen Packages
Waters Edge Mercantile is not responsible for:
Packages marked as delivered but not received
Incorrect addresses provided by the customer
We will assist with filing carrier claims, but final resolution depends on carrier policies.
9. Exchanges
Exchanges are accepted for most items but depend on supplier availability.
In some cases, suppliers require a return + new order process instead of a traditional exchange.
We will advise the appropriate path when you contact us.
